IT'S OFFICIAL...WE HAVE A NAME...CAMDYN GRACE DAHMAN

So today was a super exciting day! I got a package in the mail today from Justin that had yet another adorable outfit for Baby Girl!!! I brought the package over to a friends house to open it and on the inside of the box was a small note that read....

"I love you" "This suit is for when CAMDYN GRACE :) and Daddy go to the gym!"

I was shaking and had chill bumps all over...it was just as exciting as the day we found out we were pregnant and just as exciting as the day we found out we were having a little girl. Justin and I have been back and forth for a while on names and I was beginning to wonder if we would ever agree on something...or if we would just have to name this child "Baby Girl" LOL. I mentioned the other day when talking to him that I loved the name Camdyn Grace and that I had officially chosen that as my top pick. He then said... "Yeah I like that name a lot too" and I replied extremly excited "So is that her name?" and of course being Justin he didn't want to say yes for sure...that's because I think at that moment he decided that was his favorite too but he wanted to be creative in telling me that was his choice as well...
So needless to say we have finally agreed on something and are both so so excited to announce to the world her name:
CAMDYN GRACE DAHMAN!

I guess the next big moment will be putting the nursery together...and then next thing you know...SHE WILL BE HERE!!! I know she can't wait to meet all of you.... below are some pics of the new track suit she will be wearing to the gym with Daddy :)

I told Justin there were a ton of pocket options for her to put her IPOD while at the gym...LOL

Mommy getting Crafty!!

So my friend Robyn decided she wanted to make some blankets for her friends 2 little girls...I thought...great idea...I've always wanted to do that...maybe I will make one for Baby Girl at the same time. All of you know that I am not a crafty person at ALL!! So this was huge for me and I was super excited to get started! I was just happy to know it didn't have any sewing involved (I can't even sew on a button...that's Justin's job...Thank God for The Citadel)
SO...here are the pics we took during the progress of Mommy making Baby Girl a blanket. I'm so proud of myself but I know I couldn't have done it without the help of my friends Robyn and Brittany...Thanks Girls!!! Can't wait to see Baby Girl playing on her new blanket.

Cutting the fabric to be even...

Starting with cutting the corners (PS...check out that baby bump...along with a new bump on my face...gotta love pregnancy)

Getting all the ties done...No Riley was not a very big help...

Final product! The colorful side of the blanket has cute little sayings like "Baby Girl" "Sweetie Pie", "Lovey Dovey", "Apple of my eye", "Smile" etc with cute cupcakes, flowers and birds on it. This pattern was a must as soon as I saw the words "BABY GIRL" since I seem to keep calling her that! (Sure hope we have a name picked out soon but in the meantime guess that's her nickname)

Mommy is so proud of her work...can't wait to see my baby girl playing on her blanket!!

Check up!

So today I went back for another check up at the Dr. I was anxious to get on the scale since it seems that I have only gained about 4lbs during this entire pregnancy...well today the scale read that I have gained a total of 5lbs...OK...somewhere someone's scale was off at some point...really...how is it possible to be almost 23 weeks and only have gained 5lbs. I did weigh in at the gym today too and it was reading the same as the dr's scale was so who knows. We have come to the conclusion that maybe the scale that was used at my previous Dr was a little off...right before I got pregnant, after my surgery. I am sure the pounds will start to pack on soon.
As for everything else the Dr said that Baby Girl looks great and all her ultrasound pics from Feb 10th look wonderful. She is growing right on schedule and is just where she should be at this point. My blood pressure was great and her heartbeat was again at 150. It didn't take any time today to find the heartbeat. Seems that everything is right on schedule and I am very thankful for that.
She is still very active and the Dr said that was good as well. This morning about 345am was the first time I was able to tell she actually had hiccups and not just moving around. It woke me up and kept me awake for a while. Such a weird feeling!
I am hoping that this weekend we will be able to purchase Doi-Doi's ticket for this summer...Mom is planning on spending a month with us to help us adjust to being new parents. I am so thankful that this happened in time for her to be off from school!! I know that spending a month in Kansas is not something most people would want to do but I think that since it involves her first grandchild she wouldn't want to be anywhere else!
As for Daddy, he is doing well, busy over there but should be heading home soon! We can't wait for him to get back so he can enjoy the rest of this pregnancy with us...as well as getting the basement completed so that we can start getting the nursery set up. We will post pics as we do all of these things. Hope everyone is well! We love you and miss you all!

Pretty In Pink

So I know this post will be old news to most but we just started this blog and I wanted to be sure that we kept everyone updated on Baby Girl through this site. She is obviously growing more and more each day because I am always feeling her move! I am pretty sure she will qualify for a black belt in karate before she is born!! It doesn't really bother me though...I LOVE feeling her move...unless it is on my bladder (which happens a lot) :)
Anyway, so to start this blog off I am posting some pics from our ultrasound that we had the day we found out we were having a GIRL! We will continue to update the blog through dr's appointments and through our challenges as we become parents for the first time. We are thrilled but I know I am a bit terrified as well...
