Dr's visit update

We have had 2 more dr's visits in the last two weeks...
Our visit on June 4th showed that I had gained 4 lbs in 2.5 weeks, which is good since I was struggling to gain...this made my weight gain a total of 14 lbs so far. Camdyn's heart rate was 150 and she was measuring right on schedule, she is head down and ready to roll. I haven't made any progress as far as dilation yet...will check again on our dr's visit on the 17th.
We had another Dr's visit yesterday (June 10th). I did not gain any weight this week which is unreal but it seems that Camdyn is actually measuring 37 weeks instead of 36. The dr doesn't seem to be concerned with my weight gain only being 14 pounds so far since Camdyn is measuring on time/ahead of time (Daddy is of course worried still). Her heart rate was in the 140s and she is still head down. I also got the results of my Group B strep test and that was negative so that was good news.
I have been having lots of Braxton Hicks over the last two weeks! They get more and more intense each day but the dr says that's my body's way of preparing me for the big day. I have another dr's visit this Thursday and she will let me know if I have made any progress. We will keep you all posted! We are both super excited and anxious to meet our little princess! The above picture is the only picture I have of me at 35 weeks. The dr said yesterday that I was stretched to the max...and this picture shows that!! LOL Hope you are all doing well!

Getting Ready for Little Miss!!

Things have been super busy here at home getting ready for Camdyn's arrival. Justin has been doing things non stop since he got back from his month long trip to Spain. I think he is officially done with getting everything set up for her other than her pack n play.
I tried to take pics of him working so hard...there are a lot so I just picked a few to share!

Nursery is DONE!!!

Well, the nursery is finally DONE!! Justin has been so busy since he returned back from his month in Spain. He's put together a stroller, a rocker, a swing, installed a car seat and hung curtains as well as move furniture around in the nursery until we liked it. Now we have the month of June to relax and enjoy our last month just us....Here are some pics from our (HIS) work :)

Update on Dr and Our Lives...

It's been a while since we've updated this blog...and a lot has been going on... I just spent 2 weeks in South Carolina with family and had 3 baby showers! Camdyn got so many wonderful things! We are truly blessed to have such wonderful family and friends that have been so gracious to us during this very special time! There were tons of pics from the showers so maybe I will post a few on a later blog...too many to decide what to post here.

While I was home Justin got word that he was going to have to go to Spain for the month of May. I was extremly upset about this since I had only spent 2 weeks with him since he had been back from deployment and during those two weeks he really was working his tail off in the basement so we didn't get a lot of just "us" time. Anyway, so I came home once again to an empty house. Camdyn has orders to get nice and comfy until daddy is offically home...let's hope she's a good listener!

The day after I got home, I finally met my new doctor and she is WONDERFUL! So so happy I decided to change. The appointment went well, however, she was a little concerned that I had only gained 9lbs during the pregnancy. So she mentioned possibly doing another sonogram if my weight didn't start to catch up soon. When she measured my belly (fundal height) I was measuring exactly 31 weeks which was right on. Camdyn's heartbeat was at 142 and she is now head down and ready to roll. I will see the doctor again on the 18th and will keep you posted on that! I am now in my 32nd week and we have less than 60 days until we get to finally meet our little princess!!

Also after returning home I started seriously nesting! I have washed and put away a TON of baby clothes and started working on the nursery...daddy had the crib already put together and one dresser was here...the other I will pick up tomorrow. Anyway, the nursery is still a work in progress but I am having so much fun doing things in there. Sometimes I just walk in there and stare at everything! I'm just so excited! We also got our new couches delivered for the basement and I am enjoying those...hate Justin can't enjoy all of his hard work just yet...but soon enough. Below are a couple of pics of the bedding I picked out for Camdyn...We will post more pics of the nursery and basement soon...once we get all settled in.

Basement is done DUDE!!

Well.... nearly 7 months after we started the basement renovation it's finally finished... and we didn't end up on HGTV or renovations nightmares. On the contrary, it went relatively smooth for the first time doing many of the tasks. It goes to show what a little motivation, reading home improvement books and Google can do for you. ;)

The carpet was installed today, which marks the end, despite little touch-ups and installations to include, painting the doors, closet shelves, and blinds. Not to mention we've got to get all our furniture out of the garage and in to the basement.

So moral of the story is we now have a lot of room for you all to come visit, so let us know or just stop on by and make yourself at home! Below are some before and after pics.....

Dr Visit & Update

We had another Dr's appointment on Wed April 7th. It was the first visit to our OB that Justin was a part of. During the visit I got to enjoy what the nurses like to call "the cocktail"...I'm talking about the not so yummy flavored drink for the glucose test. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be...thank goodness. The nurse gave me 5 minutes to drink it and I think I finished it in about a minute and a half. Anyway, after I drank the yummy cocktail we saw the Dr and got to hear the heartbeat, which has slowed down just a bit...142 (it's usually at about 150). The Dr said that about this point it's normal for the heartbeat to slow down a bit. After our quick visit we had wait an hour from the time I drank my cocktail for them to draw my blood. And then we had to wait until Friday to get the results...WHICH WERE NORMAL!!! YAY!!!


Also on Friday, I finally made up my mind to change OB's. I had not been a huge fan of the dr I was seeing and after our appointment on Wed I still was not comfortable with her...so we are going to be seeing a new Dr on Friday the 16th. A friend of mine recommended her to me and I am 100% positive that I will feel a lot more comfortable with her. For something as huge as having our first baby...I wanted to be sure I felt comfortable with my doctor.


As for Camdyn Grace, she is still moving around A LOT! It was a few days after Justin got home that he actually could see her move...she seemed to stop as soon as he tried to look or feel. He still has yet to actually feel any movements (I think the thought might kind of freak him out a bit), PLUS he's been super busy working on the basement...updates on that to come.

Daddy is Finally HOME!

Monday was a wonderful day! Justin finally made it home! He was just as excited as we were to have him back! He should officially be home now until after Camdyn is born and hopefully for a little while after that. He was suprised to see how my belly had grown since he left Feb 1st. He's still waiting to feel/see her move...everytime he tries to catch her in the moment she stops...she's probably wondering who the new voice is around the house! He didn't wait too long to get busy on things around the house (i.e. working on the basement and mowing the lawn...he says he's on a time line...so true...pics to come later)
